Our Dogs
When I was the only owner of the kennel “ex JANDRA orta”, I missed the beautiful black terriers very much. Also Jana came to her years, so it had been necessary to buy another quality bitch to keep on breeding. But as we live in the suburbs of Frankfurt , so to speak in a city, Black Terriers haven’t been a possible decision. But since many years I always had a view on dog shows to this marvellous blue-colored Terriers – the Kerry Blue.

I spent nights over nights in the internet for more information about this breed, ordered books in England and America and my decision for the Kerry Blue took shape more and more (I want to say thank you for all help and information out of this time – especially Irish and American breeders and handler updated me, also Birthe Bedstedt from Kennel Kordes in Denmark, always an inspiration).
The first Kerry ever entered my life and Shiva is still part of. She is a nice bitch with beautiful character, but her development didn’t fit me to start up a new breeding line on her. So she stayed as a family dog and meanwhile she is our real coach potato.
Absoljut Triumph Grandiva
But the search for an excellent bitch restarted and a good friend of mine, also famous judge, turned my view to Russia. Basically it is not easy to make connections to Russia – still technical problems by using the Internet in international contacts really drive you to distraction. But it was worth the trouble and Julia Chernova, owner of kennel “Absoljut Triumph” in Moscow sent my today’s Russian sweetie pie “Absoljut Triumph Grandiva”.
On September 25th 2004 Diva entered my life on airport Berlin Schönefeld.
All my hopes and dreams were based on her, and still today she never disappointed me. Meanwhile Russia is a great inspiration for my own Kerry breeding and on this way many friendships entered my life. In the past also as in the future I get help and assistance from my Russian friends, whenever I need them.
Diva reached directly her “Junior Champion KfT” and also her “Russian Junior Champion” while we visited Moscow in springtime 2005. Now she will meet a challenge in presenting herself again in the adult classes.
Vivien Braudag (Toscha)
Toscha lives with us more than a year; she arrived at our place with 12 weeks, like ususal for a pup.
The decision to take Toscha into our kennel was mostly based on her father, Olido vom Landsberg. This boy was sadly not usable for matings in our country, because his hips are not x-rayed.
For sure it was a calculable risk to take her, but we accepted to take that risk in hope of a great development. And we’d been right at the end, also if Toscha is more a late developer, she is beautiful meanwhile, still a little pupish, but beautiful. We are more than excited, how she will look like waitin another year.
Also her hips are meanwhile x-rayed with a HD-B1 result, so far so good. In my breeding philosophy this means only to use HDF-A sires in breeding her; so the first candidate is still in my view, and if all goes right we can see the result in springtime 2009.
I presented Toscha on strictly limited shows this year, but with excellent results:
- 5 shows
- 4 winnings
- 3 BOB’s
But the most important for us is her character, she is realy a sweetheart. Agression - not a bit, therefore she is more and more devoted and cuddly, friendly to everybody and also every dog.
Very special is her extraordinary coat texture and a beautiful head. Fore sure you will see her more often on dog shows in future, and we are more than excited about her first puppies.
Dandy Black & Blue Darling
Darling entered my life only 5 weeks ago, in a time of a big human dissapointment. But it was, like it happens so often in life – one door closes but godfather opens another one – you only need to realize it. Myself felt very bad that time, but destiny went its own way.
As luck would have it, my old friend Elena Pakhomova and Angela Ban, a Croatian breeder from Zagreb, wanted to come for a visit to meet me.
I knowed Angela from some shows in the past and especially her sire, Dandy Black & Blue Rokoko, son of Elenas known sire Torum’s Smokey Chisholm, impressed me, whenever I saw him.
But Angela wanted to sell a bitch out of Rokoko for shortage of space and offered me this bitch. The very first picture I saw from Darling promised an extraordinary dog, but when I saw her first in real, she took me like a storm.
This little girl immediately spoke to my heart, she comfort my sadness and limited my disappointment.
I decided immediately, Darling needs to become part of my kennel and family.
Also if we had a hard start together, again a closly adult bitch in a strange country with strange people and a strange language – but we had this very good training with Diva in the past, so we had a deep understanding for Darling’s sadness in the beginning.
Only 4 weeks later I entered her for the Club Show 2008 of the German Terrier Klub, and she made it against her competitors with the Club Junior Winner 2008 title. In 2009 you will see Darling more often on the bigger shows inside Germany and Europe; I’m more than pleased about it.
Dear Elena and Angela, I want to thank you a thousand times that you placed this beautiful girl into my life exactly to the right moment.
