Kennel

Some of you will surely ask, what’s about this seldom kennel name and what does in mean?
My whole life I was engaged with dogs and there were less moments, it was necessary to live without one. Until some years ago, wired foxterriers have been the middle of my thoughts and actions.
When I started with my active dog-life, activities were more focused to animal protection and I complimentary worked many years for the society for the prevention of cruelty to animals in Munich. While this time a male foxterrier accompanied myself, my whole love was focused on him. From today’s view “Peku” was really not a typical representative of his breed, more a basic Bavarian roughneck, breaded outside FCI standards.
When he left my life, one of this short parts living without a dog began, I was too sad about this farewell. But when I returned to a recommencement, I needed to do an opposite decision – so my beloved bitch “Jana vom Beelitzhof” entered my life.
By the way Jana developed very well, my future kismet arose and it started, like it always starts. In the first only one dog show to see, how it works – and than always another one until successes awake the first thought about cultivation of this breed.
I was closed together with an owner of a black (Russian) terrier named “Indra vom Don”. Based on a similar development the idea was born to found a kennel community for wired foxies also than for black terriers. But to find a well fitting name for this kennel was a really hard process.
Observant readers will slowly catch the idea, we also had in this early beginning 1994. Both dogs, Jana and Indra, should be the start-up of this kennel. So both names connected to a made-up word JANDRA to signalize the fountain so the kennel
„ex JANDRA orta“ (out of JANDRAs fountain)
was born.
This kennel now exists since 1994 and is still listed in “Klub für Terrier e.V” also than in “Deutscher Foxterrier Verband e.V.”. Only the kennel went to my own now, because my partner stopped in breeding.
